As a prospective volunteer, I am concerned that this campaign will be too much and too fast. As it is, I have learned about various gaps in current administrative resources to handle PVC's safety, housing and in-country support issues.

Is there any mention of a corresponding growth in the capacity of the Peace Corps to handle the numbers?

I'd like to hear from current PVC's what they think.

Actually you can get just about anywhere in the world in 24 hours if you plan it right. So getting there is nothing.

Its how long can you stay. Ain't it? At least that is what it comes down to when we put all the excuses aside.

That's right 7000 pcvs and 10000 dc staff to do everything but support them. A budget cut will drop the vol load by fifty percent and leave DC untouched.

Actually I think if they dressed up a bunch of country directors like pimps and put em on a DC street corner where they could scream rap, grab their crotches and make silly signs with their hands it would be an accurate reflection of how the peace corps organization views volunteers.
