So What if the Jews Killed Jesus?
I'm not saying they did or they didn't (but we all know they didn't). What I am saying is, "So what?"
I had this epiphany when I was at the holocaust museum in DC the other day. I was watching this movie about the history of anti-semitism. The movie was over the top, but it expressed the largely held universal misapprehension that the Jews killed Jesus and that this was largely responsible for the anti-semitism that has plagued my people for the last 2,000 years. Probably true.
However, I find this whole notion very odd because the Christian religion is based on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He had to die to expiate all of our sins, right? Therefore someone had to kill to him. Who cares if it was the Jews or the Romans or the Florida Marlins? If Christians really think it was the Jews who did the deed, then they should fucking love us because without us Jesus, the Jewish carpenter from Nazareth, would have died a natural death somewhere west of the Jordan River. And then where would you be?

Absofuckinglutely!
Do the guys who used to scream 'Ai Kae Palangi' hate you because you are an invading palangi, or because you 'killed Jesus?' Few people care what you did when they decide to karang your kalala's. You (we) just happen to be a good target for whatever aggression they seek to unleash. The Jewish experience was very bad, but it is not unique. And all of us, including Jews, should be aware that it is quite easy to repeat such ethnic carnage. We can all list a good half dozen cases in the last 20 years where millions have died. The only real enemy is ignorance; and no religion/politic has a monoply on that.
can someone translate that last comment please?
The problem is there is no logic when it comes to
religion. Just look at the Koran. The Koran, in one place, says that Jews are "people of the book" and should be respected, and they have been in times of Islamic enlightenment (now not being one of those times). But in other places, it says you must kill nonbelievers wherever you find them. Unless Jews are to be counted amongst the believers, which is a very unlikely interpretation, this creates a major paradox for the "true believers".
"Ai Kae Palangi" = "Eat Shit White Person"
Palangi litteraly means "Sky Burster" and comes a prophecy that said that new people would litterally burst out of the sky and bring new ways to the people of Samoa. When John Williams arrived in Savai'i bringing the message of Christianity from the London Missionary Society, it was intererpreted and fulfillment of the prophecy. Thus, "Palangi", then and henceforce for all of us melanin deficient peoples.
As for translating the rest of Kalapu's comment, that's all in your hands.
For the record, not once in my year in Samoa, did someone say 'Ai Kae Palangi' to me, except other Peace Corps volunteers.

'So What if the Jews Killed Jesus?'.
and let's not forget that Jesus WAS a Jew! So if you hate all Jews, you would, by default hate Jesus! Try to poke a hole in THAT logic...uh...never mind.
