Waves to Wine

Waves to WineThis week, I registered for the Waves to Wine ride to support MS. The ride kicks off in September so I have a few months to train for the distance, 150 miles over two days. Should be a good time and great way to raise money for a worthy cause.
My goal this time is raise 1000 bucks. Thanks to generous early donors, I’m already at $565, so just a few hundred more bucks to reach my goal. All I ask for a small 5 or 10 dollar donation. Nothing big. Nothing that’s going to make it hard for you make your mortgage or rent. Just the cost of a couple of lattes. With lots of little donations, I’ll reach my goal in no time. Thanks in advance for your support.

This is where you can find my Personal Page to see my progress.
It’s going to be a fun ride, so if you’re in the Bay Area or want to come, I’d love to have you ride with me. The Event Details are on the MS Waves to Wine website.
Of course, I’ll be blogging about all my training rides here whether you like it or not.

  1. I’ve been reading your blog for a while now. Had to come out of lurk mode and say THANK YOU for the MS bike ride you are doing. My husband has advanced MS. He is 43 and completely paralyzed. It is a horrible disease. Thank you very much for bringing awareness and support to its cause.

  2. Thanks, Amy, but it’s really nothing. To be honest, I’d be doing this ride even if it didn’t have a charity component to it. I feel great that the money I need to raise is going to worthy cause, but that’s not the real reason I’m doing this. All the credit should go to the organizers. I’m sorry to hear about your husband. That does sound really horrible. I hope that in some small way this ride can help contribute to ending MS.
Thanks for coming out of the shadows. Hopefully you’ll become a regular now that you’ve revealed yourself.
