In San Diego
I'm down at the ass end of California visiting some friends, going to a party, generally hanging out and escaping from Northern California. I like San Diego for the weather, the variety of neighborhoods and it's proximity to Mexico, but every time I come down this way, I'm more shocked by everything. The twisting spaghetti of traffic clogged highways. The red leather-faced lackadasical beach bums. Teeny booper girls bouncing around PB and La Jolla who all think they're Jessica Simpson. And yet I find myself considering a move down here. It's inexplicable.

San Diego is fantastic place to live, but I suppose it does depend greatly on where you're moving from. I moved to San Diego from Milwaukee, and then after 2.5 years ended up moving back to Madison, WI. In retrospect, I wish I had stayed planted in San Diego. Mildest climate on the planet, so much to take in every day of the year. Ocean Beach, Old Town, and HillCrest were my favorite parts of the city. I really miss the fish tacos!!!!!!! Can't get those here, damn! My fave restaurant is in San Diego too - Forever Fondue. Check it out if you dig Fondue!

'In San Diego'.
I've only been to San Diego once and didn't really come away with a favorable impression. Truth be told, I was somewhat distracted by my younger sister's drama so really didn't get to enjoy the city. So maybe one of these days I'll go back and check out all that the city has to offer.
