I was surfing the web looking at pictures of The Gates here and here. In my travels around the web looking at Christo and Jean Claude's creation, I came across this recent picture of Central Park taken from space.

The image comes from the collection of the Earth Observatory which houses thousands of pictures taken from space. Most of the shots show natural disasters, hurricanes, fires, dust storms and the like, but there are also hundreds of random shots of interesting places on the earth including the one to the right of Mt.
