Capote
If Philip Seymour Hoffman doesn't win the Oscar for Best Actor for his tour de force performance as Truman Capote something is wrong with this world. Hoffman is one of world's greatest actors and it's time his incredible body of work is recognized by the Academy. If you want to se his amazing range, go see Capote and then rent The Talented Mr. Ripley where he plays the incomprable snob Freddie Miles. The guys is simply the best.

I adore Philip Seymour Hoffman. It is so rare that you see an actor of his caliber, and even more rare that an actor with his range and talent is recognized for his ability.
Last night I watched him receive the Golden Globe award for his performance in Capote. I can only hope that he receives the Oscar as well. I make the concious effort to remember his name about 10 years ago after seeing him in the (forgettable) film "Patch Adams". He so moved me in his role as the roomate, fellow med student... he even brought me to tears. Since then I have seen dozens of his films.
He truly makes the phrase "There are no small parts, only small actors" true. He has made more out of smaller roles than most actors make from lead roles. Truman Capote is truly the role of his life, and I am so glad that he was given due praise for his achievement.
Hurray for Philip!

'Capote'.
I wanted to see Capote this weekend, but ended up seeing Good Night and Good Luck instead.
I've always adored P.S.Hoffman, and will watch something just because he's in it.
